SALON BEGINNINGS

The Pink Plate Club was conceived in the late 90s when Founder Holly Tupper discovered an antique 19th Century porcelain dinner service in a brocante in Westerly Rhode Island. Using the plates as inspiration for uniting friends of all stripes, the first celebration was held at Holly’s home in Singapore, with Datin Mandy Beveridge delivering an hysterical pre-luncheon welcome speech on manners. Lunch followed and later in the day champagne flowed. Holly’s set of pink plates has travelled the world, gathering characters together at shared tables with brilliant bonhomie and enlightened conversations.

The Pink Plate Club, which still exists in its own right, is the inspiration behind Cultus Artem’s Salon and its many different guises at our San Antonio Atelier. Holly as Salonnière curates a dynamic mix of artists, writers, thinkers and doers for each of these Salons.

Cultus Artem Salons have included partnerships with artists such as Robert Hodge plus retailers ByGeorge from Austin & Stella Flame Gallery from Bridgehampton. We will soon be revealing our 2026 schedule and look forward to welcoming you into the magical World of Cultus Artem...
